    NOTE: All players should arrive no later than 30 minutes before the scheduled start time for their Division. Incomplete teams will be disqualified immediately at the scheduled start time.

  • Study Hall Hoops is based in La Cañada Flintridge, CA. Events are typically hosted at Flintridge Intermediate School (FIS) Gymnasium; which is located directly across the street from the Tennis courts at:

    NOTE: Study Hall Hoops commonly refers to the FIS Gymnasium as “The CLASSROOM”.

  • Study Hall Hoops uses the USA Basketball player segmentation model to separate players according to their age and/or grade level.

    Elementary School Level
    - Ages 10U-12U || Grades 4-6

    Middle School Level
    - Ages 12U-14U || Grades 6-8

    High School Level
    - Ages 15U-18U || Grades 9-12

    NOTE: Study Hall Hoops will review, approve, and finalize all Level assignments.

  • Open Divisions - For teams looking to play together and compete against other teams.
    NOTE: Rosters must be finalized prior to game day. No game day roster changes allowed.

    Draft Divisions - For individual "free agent" players who don't have a team, but still want to participate.
    NOTE: Teams for the Draft Division will be randomly generated on game day.

  • Members: No additional cost to participate. This Special Event is included with monthly membership.

    Non-Members: $50 per player to participate.

  • Games will be played using (slightly) modified FIBA 3×3 Basketball format and rules.

    FORMAT:
    - 3-5 players per team.
    - Games played on half court.
    - 10 minute running clock (or first team to 21 points).
    - 1 timeout per game.

    RULES:
    - 12 second shot clock.
    - Field goals are scored as 2s and 3s.
    - Bonus on 7th team foul (2 free throws).
    - Ball must be cleared on every change of possession.
